Through the generosity of the Zuckerman Family Foundation, the School Garden Workshop is able to provide tuition for 2-3 Tucson High Magnet School students, each Spring, to participate for university credit in the Community and School Garden Workshop. Called “Jumpstart”, the aim of this funding initiative is to introduce students who would be the first in their families to seek post-secondary education, to experience a class on the University of Arizona campus. Jumpstart students are drawn from the Tucson High Magnet School Farm Club and must exhibit a high level of involvement in the club and special dedication to supporting the school’s garden and infrastructure to qualify for Jumpstart support.
