The tabs below include curricula developed by SGW staff, teachers or university students in collaboration with SGW and the Tucson Unified School District. Developed around the principles of place-based education, the curriculum, while connecting students in the Sonoran Desert region to the people and places in which they live, is easily adaptable to other contexts. The content of the lessons ranges from math and science to literacy, art and culture for grade levels pre-K through high school. Each lesson is consistent with the national standards of the Core Curriculum and promotes deeper learning through practical application in real-world experiences and problem-solving.
