STEM Curriculum

The SEEC program's curriculum is designed to guide students through a year-long environmental research project and works to contextualize student-generated research questions in relation to local STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) citizen science projects. The curriculum found here works to support grades 3rd-6th as they use the scientific method to determine best methods, hypotheses, and research variables for their work, though can be adapted from upper and lower grades. It serves as a guide to help students understand how their research significantly contributes to important and ongoing environmental projects in their community.
