Brittney Palomarez

Brit Palomarez was born and raised in the Sonoran Desert, following six generations of ancestors. After graduating from the University of Arizona in 2012, Brit quickly developed a love for community building, relationship management, and cultivating a sense of place. Positions (and amazing people) with local organizations such as Conrad Wilde Gallery, Ben’s Bells Project, UA Museum of Art and the Center for Creative Photography paved the way for her current role with the School Garden Workshop as the Program Manager. She feels fortunate to have the chance to meld her work and personal passions through this position. Every day in the garden is an opportunity to learn/unlearn, heal, remember, and reconnect with self and nature. It's her goal to share that gift the gardens offer with her community. She spends most of her time outside of work in the Sonoran and surrounding deserts foraging, camping, and occupying space in this incredibly biodiverse and culturally rich region.
